Better Retailing

Welcome to the Spring issue of Better Retailing

The Spring issue of Better Retailing magazine is probably my favourite issue of the year, because it gives us the opportunity to celebrate some really special retailers and health food stores as we present our Better Retailing Secret Shopper Awards.

Our Secret Shoppers spend the year visiting independent health food stores all around the UK and Ireland – read the latest report here – and this issue is our celebration of those stores that impressed our shoppers the most.

I feel very fortunate to be able to share in the retailers’ success, and to talk to them about what makes their stores so special. This year’s winner, Peter Horace from the Health Store in Liffey Valley, Dublin, made the trip to London to spend the day with the Better Retailing team at the HFI luncheon and lecture, and it was a real honour to meet him and present him with his well-deserved award.

Find out about our day at the HFI lunch here, then click here to hear Peter share the secrets of his success, as well as stories from our two Highly Commended stores, Healthy Route in Leicester and Swindon Pulse.
